Weymouth Great Pond Boho Wanderlust Test Footage Filming

Well, I'm producing a TV show and despite having a lot of people interested, it's so hard coordinating days to film. SO, Making the most of my time, I've been heading off on my own and shooting test footage.

This one was a test I did, using myself, all alone, without a camera man, at Great Pond reservoir in South Weymouth (MA).

It was kinda a spooky ordeal, and I even lost my keychain with all my keys, Starbucks cards, UMASS Boston ID, and some makeup, n discount cards.

These are all samples to show my actors & models.

I still haven;t settled on a title yet.

I used multiple filters on these (just not the AKASO). I used a warming filter, a blue gradient filter, and cross star filter. (CANON 70D.

This one shot on my action camera AKASO EK7000

Cropped photo show huge Heron behind tree trunks.

Here's the SPOOKY PART (1 of them).

This Heron I saw in water by the dead tree trunk was SO TALL! They only max out in size up to 5 feet tall. But this sucker was easily over 2 meters, way bigger than my dad, and it wasn't even fully extending its neck up.

The footage thumbnails from Pirate Filming test shoot in South Field are found HERE.

My Boho Decor & Garden So-called Balcony on the First Floor

Well, here's my so-called balcony on the first floor, with my garden.

It's practically permanently in shade, so growing anything is difficult. I've been experimenting since about 2004 to grow things... which I'm sure I've often mentioned...

I went with a permaculture direction since the end of 2013... I've been incorporating low level light plants, or shade crops. this year we got a new out door light in the parking-lot, after several years of darkness after they removed to old New England lamppost lanterns.

I think I got "the gift" from my dad, so to speak... because when I have LIGHT I can nearly save any plants... "Green Thumb"
So, this situation was a brain picker....

I never really know what results I will get because thing that OUGHT to grow didn't, or had poor results, and stuff that I expected to fail went great! Also, different results in different years, n different times of the seasons!

The only way to learn is to do, and learn from failure...

My cucumbers are doing so well now! I didn't think they would grow at all!
They're VERY THIRSTY! They drink so much water!

I'm also growing ginger & potatoes! I didn't know they could grow so easily!

Meals on my lil Boho Spot in my "balcony"

#garden #greens #harvest I had to trim all these down. The aphids ravaged them so bad! 2 weeks ago it was mini inchworms or larva, and before that it was either caterpillars or cold n rainstorms! They were doing well, but they freaked n started flowering! Once they do that, they don't grow the right leaves! So, after chopping off flowers 3 times per day, the plants were hell bent on flowering! So, I had to let me flower n go to seed pods! But, that attracted the aphids! Then the aphids bloomed in a swarm! Luckily, it's about almost mid summer! I'd started some other experimental crops, which took off! I was expecting those to fail, so I chopped these down or trimmed them, so the other ones can grow n get better light. Plus, I added some new seeds. They should bloom in sequence hopefully. In the meantime, these are #soaking so I can fry them.

Crazy New England Snow!

At the moment, I'm up here in the frigged North Eastern Coast of the USA, in New England. I'm in the South Shore area of Greater Boston in South Weymouth. I certainly DO NOT plan to be here forever. Screw that!

It is so friggin' cold, and this year it's supposed to be an El Niño year, so we were expecting more warm pockets of air for winter... and yes we did get some, but the planets ability to self regulate can also trigger extreme colds instead in an attempt to self-cool or compensate for the average temperatures rising of the entire globe over the longer periods.

In 2012, it was incredibly warm here in winter, and even 2011 wasn't very snowy, but this extreme cold winter trend has been going on for a while. You just can;t predict it anymore because the situation is so unstable and unbalanced that crazy weather like this happens. Even the Boston weather men now admit their computer models can't predict with certainty on these blizzards anymore.

These photos were take on Friday last week, and already the snow is much higher, and is still coming. It's very cold, and due to my asthma, I cannot go outside.

My daughter is on vacation from school right now, and last week the weather was so bad she couldn't go to school, and it was closed. The highways were closed in some places, and the public transportation is still down in some places.

it's such a deep freeze that I could only go outside for about 20 seconds to take these pictures. I had to wrap up my head to keep the body heat on me, and I probably shouldn't have gone out in my slippers.

I will probably be blogging some of my photography of the snow on my photography blog.
